How to verify a number with a code

  1. Open the verification page (see the table above).
  2. Choose your country (you can search by code) and enter the number. Below it shows which number the code will go to (Sending to …).
  3. Sellers/providers choose WhatsApp or SMS (SMS only for a Bangladesh mobile, +8801…). Then press Send code via WhatsApp or Send code via SMS.
  4. Type the 6-digit code from the SMS or WhatsApp message into the box.
  5. When it succeeds, a green Verified mark shows.

If WhatsApp fails the code goes to your email — but that does not verify the number

If WhatsApp cannot deliver the code for some reason, Exportain sends the code to your account's email. The page will say the code went to your email.

Sellers: the same person must verify both phone and email

For the Exportain Verified badge, one person's account on the team must have both the phone and the email verified. If they are on two members' accounts, the page will say: Your phone and email are verified on different user accounts. The same person must verify both.

A WhatsApp verification records your WhatsApp number, but it does not count towards the "phone verification" requirement of the seller's badge.

If your email is not verified

Usually your email is verified when you register or sign in with Google. If the seller page shows Email not verified, write to support@exportain.com from your account email; the support team will help.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

I'm a buyer — why don't I see an SMS option?
Buyers verify their mobile number on WhatsApp only — that is the rule. Verify on WhatsApp and you will get the Buyer Mobile Verified badge.
As a seller or provider, the SMS code isn't arriving.
Check that the number is a Bangladesh mobile (+8801…). If the page shows SMS verification is not available yet., no code was sent — try again later. If it shows We could not send a verification code by SMS right now., try again in a few minutes. You can ask for at most 5 SMS codes a day.
My mobile number is not from Bangladesh.
Verify it on WhatsApp. SMS codes go only to Bangladesh mobile numbers (+8801…).
I entered the code that came by email, but the number still wasn't verified.
A code that arrives by email does not prove the number. Try again once the code arrives on WhatsApp.
